Instantly Stop and Kill Cold Sores – Lemon Balm Glycerite

Lemon balm is a plant in the mint family. Lemon balm glycerite is made from lemon balm, vegetable glycerin, and distilled water. However, some companies may add extra ingredients. I have seen people provide many medicinal uses for it, but I specifically used lemon balm glycerite to heal my cold sores.

Lemon balm glycerite halted my cold sore the day I applied it. Two days later, the cold sore was completely gone. If you deal with cold sores on your lips like me, it will eliminate your cold sores and save you money.

I usually have only one or two cold sores every few years. Even though these cold sores were rare, they were detrimental to my confidence. I did not want to go to work or school, but I did not want to use medicine with tons of unneeded and unhealthy ingredients. I would always end up doing nothing and just accepting the cold sores until my girlfriend told me that putting salt on the sores would kill them. Please do not try this; it was painful, and it made my lips three times their usual size.

Unfortunately, my next regularly scheduled cold sore came about two and a half years too early. I did not want to deal with the salt process over again, especially just a few months after my previous cold sores. So I researched and found a website that advocated for using lemon balm, but it did not really put much confidence in the “medicine.” I decided to try it because it seemed the most likely to work over other healthy options.

I it the day after I noticed my cold sore. By this time the sore had grown substantially. After I applied the lemon balm glycerite to my lip, the cold sore stopped growing. The next day it had shrunk to the point where you could barely notice it. A couple of days later it was gone.

Here are the steps I took that killed my cold sore:

Step 1: Pour a couple drops of lemon balm glycerite onto a cotton round

It doesn’t have to be a cotton round, but I would recommend pouring the lemon balm glycerite on something other than your fingers so that you do not touch your lips.

Step 2: Hold the cotton round with lemon balm on your cold sore

I believe I did this for about 15-30 seconds.

Step 3: Repeat

Just to be safe, I repeated step two a few times each time I applied the lemon balm. I applied it in the morning, afternoon, and before I went to sleep. So in total I probably repeated step two around eight times a day for three days. I still applied the lemon balm on the first day the cold sore was gone to make sure it would not come back.

The lemon balm glycerite I used and where to find it:

I used Herb Pharm’s lemon balm glycerite. They use two other ingredients: certified organic vegetable glycerin and distilled water. The bottle is small, but after using it for my last cold sore, it is almost full, and I do not think I will ever have to purchase another.

I went to Whole Foods to purchase my bottle.
